Personal Injury: Solicitor/Legal executive/paralegal

Location: Carlisle based or Cumbria-wide.

The role:

Bendles LLP are seeking someone with experience in Personal Injury to join a busy Civil Litigation/Dispute Resolution department based in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and skilled individual to manage their own caseload of diverse personal injury claims with general litigation and/or employment mix. Autonomy given but with strong support and training if needed.

This role can be full or part time.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a caseload of personal injury claims efficiently and effectively.
Pursuing claims through and outside of the MOJ Portals, including pre- and post-litigation stages, using a case management system.
Ensuring full compliance with agreed service standards.
Communicating professionally with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.
Attending and participating in regular department meetings.
Managing client expectations and addressing any complaints in line with company policy.
Performing any other duties as required.

Skills and Competencies:

Experience managing a claimant personal injury caseload.
Strong working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes.
Experience with case management systems.
Technical proficiency in handling claims through to litigation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and legal research skills.
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
Team player with a collaborative approach.
A law degree, CILEx qualification, or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Family Solicitor to join a close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven solicitor to take a leading role in the family department.

The Role

This opportunity is for a solicitor with expertise covering all aspects of Family Law, specifically divorce, financial and high net worth matters.  Being part of the Law Society Family Law Accreditation scheme would be an advantage as would being an accredited Specialist member of Resolution with specialism in complex financial remedies and pension.

You will be expected to:

  • Manage your own caseload of a range of family matters including but not limited to Divorce, financial applications from start to finish, including drafting legal documents and attending court hearings
  • Negotiating settlements and agreements for clients
  • Building and maintaining positive professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • A good understanding of business development
  • Work towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets
  • Any prior experience with managing and mentoring a team would be advantageous.

Minimum Requirements

  • Solicitor or CILEX qualified
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets
  • Possess business acumen and a proactive approach to networking
  • Resilient attitude with an openness to adapt to change

Private Client Solicitor

 

An opportunity exists to join our very experienced firm wide team. This is a full-time permanent role but part time would be considered.

The role

Our Private Client team is dedicated to providing expertise by tailoring advice to individuals and families, to build lasting relationships across generations. We are seeking a skilled an experienced individual with a proven ability to handle a diverse caseload autonomously. This will primarily involve preparing and advising on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), with additional responsibilities in private trust work and other related areas.

You will be expected to:

Manage a busy caseload of a range of private client matters with appropriate support
Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery
Work towards and meet chargeable and billing targets
Work collaboratively with colleagues and also be comfortable working independently

Minimum Requirements

Solicitor or CILEX qualified or extensive experience as a Paralegal
Can demonstrate experience in managing Wills, LPAs, probate and trust matters
Ability to work autonomously whilst managing a busy and varied caseload
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Desirable

STEP qualification or working towards it
Experience in complex estate planning

An opportunity exists in the Whitehaven office to join a very experienced firm wide team. This is a full-time permanent role.

Firm

The Role

You will manage property transactions from instruction to completion and will advise clients on the legal aspects of buying or selling their property. You will liaise with solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have experience as a conveyancer and a proven ability to handle a diverse caseload autonomously.

About You

You will be expected to have: 

Strong knowledge of Residential and conveyancing procedures
Proven experience in residential conveyancing
Excellent communication, organizational and negotiation skills
Good communication and IT skills
