Location: Carlisle based or Cumbria-wide.
The role:
Bendles LLP are seeking someone with experience in Personal Injury to join a busy Civil Litigation/Dispute Resolution department based in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and skilled individual to manage their own caseload of diverse personal injury claims with general litigation and/or employment mix. Autonomy given but with strong support and training if needed.
This role can be full or part time.

We are seeking a dynamic and committed Family Solicitor to join a close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven solicitor to take a leading role in the family department.
The Role
This opportunity is for a solicitor with expertise covering all aspects of Family Law, specifically divorce, financial and high net worth matters. Being part of the Law Society Family Law Accreditation scheme would be an advantage as would being an accredited Specialist member of Resolution with specialism in complex financial remedies and pension.
You will be expected to:
- Manage your own caseload of a range of family matters including but not limited to Divorce, financial applications from start to finish, including drafting legal documents and attending court hearings
- Negotiating settlements and agreements for clients
- Building and maintaining positive professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- A good understanding of business development
- Work towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets
- Any prior experience with managing and mentoring a team would be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements
- Solicitor or CILEX qualified
- Demonstrated track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets
- Possess business acumen and a proactive approach to networking
- Resilient attitude with an openness to adapt to change

Our Private Client team is dedicated to providing expertise by tailoring advice to individuals and families, to build lasting relationships across generations.
