Bendles Solicitors announces three senior promotions

Laura Goode, Kali Snowdon and Mariya Dimitrova who have been promoted to associate solicitors

Bendles Solicitors has strengthened its senior team with the promotion of three solicitors to associate positions.

The move follows the firm’s recent merger with Gaynham King & Mellor (GK&M) and reflects its continued investment in its team.

Kali Snowdon and Mariya Dimitrova, both based at Bendles’ Carlisle office, and Laura Goode, who works from GK&M’s Penrith office, have all been promoted to associate solicitors.

John Stevenson, Managing Partner at Bendles Solicitors incorporating GK&M, said:
“These appointments recognise the professionalism and expertise that Kali, Laura and Mariya demonstrate every day in their work with clients.

“They have all shown fantastic commitment to developing their specialisms and supporting colleagues, and I’m delighted they are able to progress their careers with us.

“By investing in our people, we are ensuring we can continue to deliver an excellent service for our clients. The strength and depth of our team will be a crucial factor as we grow and develop following the merger.”

Bendles Solicitors incorporating GK&M works with clients across Cumbria and has offices in Carlisle, Wigton, Whitehaven, Penrith, Appleby and Kirkby Stephen.

The three new associates work across different areas of law within the firm.

Based in the family law team, Kali advises clients on divorce, complex financial matters and cohabitation disputes. She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Central Lancashire. Kali joined Bendles in November 2022 after qualifying as a solicitor in 2020. A member of Resolution, which advocates a non-confrontational approach to family law issues, Kali also supports the development of trainee solicitors within her department.

Mariya Dimitrova has worked at Bendles for almost seven years, having been introduced to the firm while on work experience through her law degree at the University of Cumbria. She qualified in 2022 and specialises in private client work including wills, trusts, probate and Court of Protection matters.

Laura Goode works in residential conveyancing, supporting home buyers and sellers across the Eden Valley. After studying law at the University of Cumbria and completing her LPC in Leeds, Laura qualified as a solicitor in 2018. She joined GK&M in 2024.

Bendles Solicitors completed its merger with Eden Valley-based GK&M on April 1, 2026.
