Legal Cashier Opportunities

 

Competitive Salary

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria

Opportunities exist within our accounts department. The vacancy is to cover maternity leave on a full-time basis, but part time applicants will also be considered.

The role will involve a broad mixture of cashier’s duties to include:

  • Preparing daily banking
  • Client account and dealing with queries relating to client accounts
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Posting purchase ledger invoices
  • Recording bank payments and receipts
  • Liaising with auditors and banks
  • Billing
  • Petty cash
  • Taking client payments

You will have the confidence to handle a pivotal role in the business where attention to detail is essential and you can display a can-do attitude.

You will have a minimum of at least 12 months’ experience within a legal accounts / finance environment, whether this is as a legal cashier, accounts assistant or as a finance administrator. Holding an AAT qualification, whilst not essential, would be a benefit. You will have excellent knowledge of the SRA accounts rules and experience of working with LEAP and Xero would be an advantage.
