Hannah Smith, an associate solicitor in Bendles’ family law team has secured Children Law accreditation (formerly Children Panel) from the Law Society.
Hannah joined Bendles as a trainee solicitor in 2017 and has subsequently developed a level of expertise and passion for Family Law which led to her promotion to Associate of the firm in September 2023 and Children Law accreditation in May 2024.
Cases involving children require a special sensitivity and specific expertise. Hannah joins Bendles’ Partner and head of Family Law, Alison Bone, as the second member of the firm’s Family team to secure accreditation from the Law Society.
The Children Law Accreditation Scheme covers all types of children law work. Law Society accredited children lawyers are specialists in dealing with the areas of the law related to children.
Our Family team can help with matters including working out arrangements for children during a divorce, child custody issues, family breakdowns, and rights to see children. In addition, our accredited children law specialists can support children and adults whose children are ‘at risk of significant harm’ or have been taken into care.
Commenting on Hannah’s recent accreditation, Partner Alison Bone said; “It’s a demonstration of the breadth of Hannah’s knowledge and her dedication to children law, as well as the families and individuals she represents. This is a well-deserved acknowledgement of her talents; we know her expertise and ability will continue to deepen.”
